Not much really. A valid email address, the name, or title of your event and when your guests should Rsvp by. Optionally, you can pick from an assortment of templates and customize a personal message that is displayed on the event.
After your event is created, you will be provided with a unique URL for your invitees to go to. Place it on your paper invitations, emails, or on whatever you have created. Your guests now have the option to let you know (electronically) what their plans are.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Sounds great, but how can this be free?
There's no such thing as a free lunch right? Call it a labor of love, but we really don't have any plans to charge for using our site. Please feel free to use our service as much as you wish. And if you like the site and use, or plan to use it a lot, you could always send some cash our way ('Make a Donation' button located on the bottom right).
Why do I need this, when my email address will work fine?
True, you could just use your email address when sending out your invitations and that's fine with us. What we offer, is the ability to keep from distributing it. Through a unique event URL, your guests still have the opportunity to electronically Rsvp, but without having to know something as personal as your email address.
Will you ever sell my email address?
Absolutely not! We hate spam just as much as you do, that's why our policy is to never sell your email address. The only reason we even ask, is to notify you when responses are made to your event. If we would ever need to contact you, rest assured it won't be in regards to the latest pharmaceutical craze. We promise!
My event was: cancelled, finished, or whatever. What now?
We hope that you still have the email that contained the deactivation link. If not, you can either forget about it, or send us a
quick message. We will even send you an email when your respond-by-date has elapsed, just in case you forget to deactivate your event.
How do I manage my invites?
You don't, at least not through our web site. Currently, we don't offer the ability to manage your invitation lists, only the notification (Rsvp) process (which in fact is completely based on email.)
